After the death of King Init, Lyberencia was fractured into shards and slivers of territory, each held as a trophy of power by a conquering baron seeking fame and influence. For nearly 1500 years, many barons held the divided nation captive in their greed, killing any who defied them. This much is agreed upon and shown consistently in discovered texts.
Scholars have debated and pondered all other texts, each recounting tales of triumph and strength that were either fabricated lies or embellished half-truths, proving that there was little truth recorded in the history texts aside from the detailed horrors each baron committed in their quest for power.
Despite lasting for over 1500 years, the Barony Era eventually ended as a single deified being, Kashextar, unified the broken lands and became the first king in millennia.
Throughout the Barony Era, the common people believed the barons would forever maintain control over them and their lands. Still, when Kashextar, the son of a great hero and Elven princess, united the continent, it brought hope and resolve to the hearts of all people. His victory was all the more poignant because of the astonishing freedoms and peace he provided. He reigned in peace, with justice and truth, finally bringing stability to historical records. He ruled for almost 500 years until his extended life was cut short due to the trickery of He Who Once Was.
Kashextar, having unified the people and provided structure to the continent, ended the reign of barons, but another being was lying in wait, readying for the right moment to seize control and slowly building power.
Over the centuries, nearing the climax of his orchestrated plan, He Who Once Was - the False God - unleashed a horrific scene: the death of the benevolent unifier, King Kashextar. The 500-year peace was shattered and the false god quickly began to raise a great multitude of the deceased, unleashing an undead army upon the world from the Emerald Plains.
The False God seemed all too powerful, but a small group of young adventurers with a goal in mind and a fire in their hearts banded together, leaving in their wake a unified Lyberencia intent on freeing themselves from the darkness. These warriors rose up and struck down the tyrant in his tower located in the treacherous Emerald Planes, where time and reality itself are as perilous as a raging sea.
For this act of ultimate heroism, the four, the Emerald Heroes, earned a place in the Codex of Legend as the heroes who avenged the good king, leaders of a reunited Lyberencia, and the slayers of He Who Once Was. The peace having been shattered and nobody capable of restoring it, the Emerald Heroes helped usher in a new era of rebuilding.
These heroes, may their names be always remembered, were Fehr Brin’gir - The Daughter of Dragons, Tassariel Korrick - The Quick Quiver, The Vessel of Curantis - Emil Nocture, and Telric, The Strong.
During the False God's war and the years following its end, a few important discoveries were made.
First, the gates of Delirium, the depths of hell itself, were loosened so He Who Once Was could wrest control of its inhabitants from the god of death, Svecan. This led to not only the undead armies but also an outpouring of demons who love being free to manipulate ignorant humans in search of power to bend to their will. Many gained a following, propping themselves up as gods and, given enough praise and worship, eventually succeeding to a status of semi-deity.
Second, a new semi-deity, perhaps sprung from Delirium or perhaps raised within Lyberencia, appeared to the swampy regions of the Southern coasts. The fanaticism of these new worshippers inevitably led to a cult calling themselves the Order of the Wrathful Angel. They worship one called Colerico, a being of smoke, light, life, and destruction. The most holy symbol associated with him is a chicken with a halo. Little else is known of this cult or its tenets.
Seeing the chaos, Svecan regained control of the gates of Delirium and anointed a group of knights as his Reapers, charged with reclaiming the lost souls set to wander the overworld. The most devout of these reapers was Shinji Hitoshi.
Despite this effort, there are still things evil enough and dark enough to slip through Svecan's control. One such thing is the Undeath, a disease of sorts that consumes all life, reanimating corpses to pursue the living. It is confined to a region at the base of the capital mount near the center of the continent, but none dare go to research the disease. The earliest tales indicate that a house stood prominently in the center of the region where unspeakable horrors took place, things so evil it shook the domains the gods established. The house has since been lost inside the undeath, but the scars of whatever happened there remain centuries later.
During the False God's war, the once infallible pantheon was considered shakable, especially in the case of Svecan. In response, many threw the faith they reserved for the old gods into a new generation of prospective deities. This theological chaos created discord between the old gods and the new, eventually leading to the old gods divvying up power to those they deemed worthy, sending them as an emissary of sorts and granting them a semblance of deification. For the known pantheon, see below.
After centuries of peace, civil unrest arose within the City of Lyberty, and the Queen, along with many of her followers, were driven from the city. After the exodus, King Warshet took the throne and renamed his new land: Peak City, for the mountain the city crowned.
Queen Lex, alongside with her close followers, found no refuge in another city or nation and instead fled to the eastern melting snows of the Frost Fields. At the behest of her loyal advisor Queen Lex named her new city ‘Santo Coronado’ or ‘The Crowned Saint’.
Since Hilde was destroyed during the war, many people became refugees. Most of the displaced masses migrated to Peak City and Journey’s End due to their already well-established infrastructures, but a large portion set their sights on the budding nation of Santo Coronado.
Queen Lex ruled Santo Coronado for the rest of her days alongside her husband, Sir Ashton MacArthur Church. They formed the city-state into a righteous and free place, where any race or person was welcomed making into what the City of Lyberty strived and failed to become.
Queen Lexion “Lex” Everentel finally married her husband and began the royal line of Church. They had a second child, a daughter, whom they raised to rule with love and compassion. This became a foundational aspect of the Church family line and has allowed Santo Coronado to strive, naturally drawing the citizens to love their ruler and know their ruler deeply cares for and loves the people.
Queen Lex passed her rule to her daughter, Fehr. Fehr passed her rule to her son, Telric. Telric passed his rule to his son, Lukas. Lukas passed his rule to the 5th and current ruler of Santo Coronado, Queen Emilia Church.
It is said Santo Coronado rulers have named their children after the Emerald Heroes, and that King Telric was the only one to break the tradition. Emilia has said she plans on upholding that tradition and living to the standard her predecessors have set.
During the founding years of Santo Coronado, Queen Lex found that the flux of new residents brought many tasks and issues the meager city guard couldn't address. With this in mind and at the behest of her counselors, she sought to reform the Adventurers Guild but needed a place where they could be trained since the mass slaughter of adventurers at the hand of Shinji Hitoshi and He Who Once Was. Thus the Guardians Union was born. It took time, but slowly the union built its reputation fulfilling requests from the displaced. Tasks as small as "I need my house cleaned" to as large as "A wendigo ate my mom." At first, the expectation was that there would be few applicants to become guardians, but when hundreds of applications poured in, she knew the establishment was a positive force and something the people desperately wanted.
Due to the high concentration of guardians within Santo Coronado, other nations have been dissuaded from attacking, despite the union being officially recognized as a "neutral party." Though closely associated with the governing powers of Santo Coronado, the Guardians Union established field offices in every major city throughout the continent and has registered guardians around each of them.
Little is known of the Valaryan Soldiers, giving rise to the rumor that they were a group of mutant super beings. What's more is that until recently, they hadn't been seen in centuries. Prized for their strength, speed, powers of perception and observation, coupled with their sheer skill in and out of combat, they would be the main choice of any who seek an adventurer. However, they too know their skill and their services are extraordinarily expensive, making them reserved for extremely vital situations. Taking up residence in the long-abandoned ruined island fortress of Laget, and being secluded from the mainland, they've developed their own culture and society.
Whoever is dubbed the Elder of Soldiers within the Citadel of Laget takes upon them the name of Tassariel in honor of the Emerald Hero who saved their people hundreds of years ago.
Seeing the absurd prices of the Valaryan Soldiers' services and needing many requests fulfilled, the newly formed Guardian's Union quickly became a competitor in business. Valaryan Soldiers are at odds with the union due to competition of business: The Soldiers will always satisfactorily complete their missions, but the Union's prices make up for the drop in quality, pushing the common man's jobs out of the Soldier's coin purse. Because of this rivalry, the Guardians have earned the derogatory nickname "tags", partly due to their Union-Issued pendant every Guardian is required to wear, but mostly as a response to the flaunting of personal titles and overall lack of professionalism the tags seem to be compensation for.
However, this lack of professionalism has caused issues with some citizens in various regions, causing them to have similar sentiments toward the Union as the Soldiers, prompting the people to adopt the insult as well.
With the Emerald Plains being a place of constantly warping realities, the name of the Daughter of Dragons was invoked and an 800ft wall was erected to prevent anything born on the plains from coming out and wreaking havoc on the rest of the continent as well as to prevent innocents from wandering in to their eventual death. Atop this wall are posted the Dragon's Cavalry, a group of military comprised of any and all races. Most outside the region view this as an opportunity to rid themselves of their criminals and unwanted, taking them out of the streets and prisons.
With the establishment of the new nation of Santo Coronado came a new language found only in the nooks and crannies of the land and the name chosen for the city-state was testament of how committed the citizens were to adopting "Spanish" into their new society. Though mainly only found within the halls of high society and the slums of the understreets, Spanish became a way to keep and pass secrets or to boast of ones own intellect since the language is spoken little otherwise. It's rumored that some of the Emerald Heroes developed it to coordinate amongst themselves.
Nearly 500 years after the False God's war, rumblings of discontent rippled throughout the continent. An oracle required safe passage through the mountains and a band of guardians were enlisted to escort her to a refuge of safety. From Peak City, Emperor Constantine launched a full assault on many fronts, bent on claiming the continent for himself. After delivering the oracle to safety, the guardians pushed to Taure (tai · yer) and defended its walls, moving south and liberating the occupied city of Heroes Hold before sweeping southeast to the university island of the Decanter, helping repel the second siege of Empire forces.
Constantine's power was so vast, so immense that the entire continent was being sieged simultaneously under his watch. At one point, the Emperor cast a unique spell or drew upon some power far beyond what was thought possible. The power would have decimated the entirety of Santo Coronado, but from somewhere unknown, a mysterious beam of light shot through the attack and pierced the moon.
Shoring up defenses in every city along the way, they reached the foothills of the Emperor's castle mount, Peak City. In a desperate effort to overthrow the usurper, they eventually found the gap in his defense and slew him, reaffirming that the people would be free from tyranny. Now lauded as war heroes, they too add their names to the Codex of Legend as ones who defended the people. Their names were Annistyn Levyn - The fearsome Aasimar Gifted One, Ash Karito - The Ghost of the Elven Shadow, Renner Zannad - The Holy Warlock, and Gordon Ramsay. Of the four, only Gordon perished, his legacy living on through his restaurant, Helsvick’s Kitchen, named in honor of his late brother.
After Constantine's downfall, there was a power vacuum left in the supercity, spurring the question of who would take the reigns. The city's breath of relief from the Emperor's death was cut short as tension grew over who had rights to the throne and culminated in mercenaries, assassins, and everyday citizens banding together and massacring each other for a full week. Most every noble house was
caught in the hostilities.
When the fighting ended, there was not a street in the city that wasn't stained with the blood of its own citizens. The only remaining remaining houses were those who stayed out of the fight entirely. Only one still claimed rights to the throne: House Orlys. They were one of, if not the most powerful of the noble houses, not only in Peak City but in all of Lyberencia.
After he assumed the throne, it was a regular occurrence to have citizens executed or murdered by the guards or mercenaries under the new emperor's employ, all without punishment. The nobility, on the other hand, were publicly tortured and executed as a sign to not contradict or assume to threaten the throne. It was to exert dominance over his would-be overthrowers.
During his tenure, however, the holy mountain empire expanded many times larger than it was prior. Over the following 2 years, there were many attempts at his life by those just as ruthless and power-hungry as himself. All failed. Eventually, his rule solidified and the attempts waned. Regardless of how vile history views Lord Orlys, his strategic ability was superb as he never once saw defeat.
Just as the people began to accept him, and regard him as perhaps the leader they needed and could support, the truth about him came out. The week of blood had been his doing. He hired mercenaries and assassins, riled the people, and spurred the massacres. He was affiliated with many dark organizations, one being the notorious Black Lilies, and not just superficially, but deeply. That was far too much. That information made too much sense to be mere rumors. The people rapidly became restless and banded together. Their voice was personified in a single person, Alaric Eldyn, who marched on the palace and confronted the emperor. Whether blessed by the gods for his righteous fury or simply drawing on the cause of freedom, he managed to succeed where countless others had failed: Emperor Orlys lay dead at the end of Alaric's sword. Chosen by the people, he assumed the throne and has reigned in compassion and peace since Orlys' downfall.
During Emperor Constantine’s Continental War, a party of Guardians went exploring and found an ancient dungeon, littered with long-forgotten or unknown arcana and divine runes. After spending 3 months delving deeper and deeper into the dungeon they found something: a treasure lost to time. Once discovered these guardians transcended standard Guardian limitations. It was at this exact moment gifts entered the world. The details of what they discovered or where this ancient repository lay have remained secret. After their adventure, they agreed to go their separate ways and keep the dungeon’s location and treasure a secret.
The long-established noble houses having fallen and no tyrant trying a campaign for dominance, the heads of state and their respective remaining noble classes gathered to establish agreements and set boundaries. For the first time since King Kashextar, the lands were truly divided. The main kingdoms were established as follows:
The Holy Mountain Empire
The Emerald Commonwealth
The Kingdom of Rosa
Aside from the three kingdoms, some territories aren't formally ruled by a single entity but rather are monitored passively. The main examples are as follows:
Taure (tie · yer) - The Great Elven Tree
Colerico's Haven
Lanean's Rest
When the call came for aid during the Continental War, the Elven king refused those requesting it and banished any Elf who sought to aid any outsiders despite having received assistance from the warriors in the Emerald Commonwealth. Disgusted by his ultimate disrespect for those who saved his life, Captain Gormon and many of his guard offered help, knowing that they could never return to the Great Tree.
They, in turn, found a place within the Emerald Commonwealth, opposite the great mountain range to the Mountainlandswamp Orcs territory, and established a town for elven outcasts and other races to intermingle. Thus the city of Ederdol, translated to "Open Mind," was born and has continued to flourish.
Since the devastating battle between Emperor Constantine and the forces of Santo Coronado, strange pockets of anti-magic have roamed the continent. It was discovered that the emperor used a very experimental device to dampen or snuff out the ability to use magic during his siege, that being one reason he was so effective. During the last days of his reign, whatever device he used was destroyed, whether by the guardians or because of its supremely dangerous nature, it's unknown. What is known is that whatever magics were used to consume the magic of others was unleashed in varying severity.
Since arcana flows through all things, the sudden stripping of it has a range of effects depending on the severity. Some have been left with little other than a temporary loss of magic while others have had their very lifeforce violently ripped from their bodies.
Many have tried to predict these storms, equating them to weather patterns, but many meteorologists, scientists, and wizards have tried and failed to find any understanding of their movements or of any way to detect their presence from a distance.
During the Continental War, Emperor Constantine was wary of the threat Santo Coronado posed and unleashed a massive magical strike upon the city from the sky, but just before it laid waste to the city, a mysterious beam of light erupted from within the walls, overcame the strike through overwhelming amounts of magic, and shot further into the sky, eventually piercing the moon, leaving a gaping hole in the center of it. The mysterious magic was enough to save Santo Coronado and its inhabitants, granting them the opportunity to turn the war to their favor.
The resulting debris and rubble from the moon eventually entered Avylenn's atmosphere and fell to the earth nearly two decades later requiring arcane barriers and wards put in place by the continent's most powerful spellcasters. While this prevents the largest pieces from falling, the small debris still finds a way through striking the world below. The occasional field of meteorites showers the ground, thousands of tiny missiles plummeting straight down, but deaths from Moonshowers are extraordinarily rare. Cities and towns with powerful enough mages can erect their own barriers to defend against these smaller hazards.
Founded by the war hero Gordon Ramsay and unanimously heralded as the greatest restaurant in the world, Helsvik’s Kitchen has grown significantly, continuing to attract people from all over Avylenn just to try the recipes of the late hero. Located in Santo Coronado, it has become a cultural attraction deemed a necessary dining experience for every person before they die.
As the boundaries between each kingdom solidified and a formal agreement was drafted between the three nations, it came out that the Warrior Queen, Erris, was a Gifted One. This was concern enough, but when it was discovered that Emperor Alaric, too, was a Gifted One, the tension rose even more. The citizens of the Kingdom of Rosa, grew uneasy, thinking that it was only a matter of time before the other two countries wiped them out.
To combat this plummeting morale, Queen Emilia turned to her trusted friend, war hero, and gifted one, Annistyn Levyn, to become the mascot for the Rosa Military by promoting her to the seat of Warmaster, boosting the nation's trust in its military and giving a sense of security to the citizens of Rosa. General Levyn justifiably became a symbol of power and hope for the entire kingdom, given her talent as a leader and prowess as a warrior.
Having successfully led his followers out of Taure, establishing a new settlement for elves to dwell amongst the more accepting peoples in Lyberencia, Captain Gormon found himself the frequent target of assassination attempts. Yet he survived each with the help and protection of Ash Karito, heralded as the Ghost of the Elven Shadow due to his prowess as an assassin for good. It is said that those under the protective watch of the Elven Shadow cannot be touched by a blade, essentially becoming immortal.
With this protection, Ederdol, under Captain Gormon's leadership, has continued to prosper and thrive, solidifying itself as a peaceful community within Lyberencia, much to the Elven King's chagrin.
Known as a skeptic and strict judge of Paladins as presently constituted, the war hero Renner Zannad continued his great adventures after the Continental War. Capitalizing on his status as a knight of Queen Emilia and cleverly wielding his charismatic appeal, he amassed a following, unofficially creating a new order of paladins following his own oaths and tenets. After some time, these paladins decided to form an order of their own, led by the famed and deeply admired Lancelot Rhyme. Any paladin inducted into the Order of Zannad would henceforth be trusted as a deeply honorable individual, being kind of heart and charitable to all peoples.
Soon after the ascension of Emperor Alaric, war hero Renner Zannad confronted and reproached the Emperor. Withdrawing into the Emperor's chambers, the content of their argument is still unknown. Yet it ended abruptly with the sudden explosion of light and magic, destroying a large portion of the palace, launching items and rubble alike far into the city.
The battle was intense but ultimately ended with Renner Zannad taking his last breath, dead at the end of Alaric's sword, who himself was permanently blinded from injuries received.
In the aftermath, it was discovered that the explosion had thrown Zannad's sword as far as the city's open square far below the palace, impaling a stone statue of the emperor himself. Whether the statue was enchanted with fortifying magic or the sword itself held it together, the statue remains intact, holding the sword aloft, embedded into the emperor's head. Many have tried to pull the sword out, but none have succeeded. A legend has spread throughout Lyberencia saying that one day, someone worthy of Zannad's blessing will pull the sword out and wield the immense power of Renner Zannad. This legend has yet to come to fruition.
Deep in the southern sea, a lone isle stands at the top of a tall seabed mountaintop. Its sheer cliffs are beaten by tempests and storms as if an outlet of Lanean's rage and hatred. Such raw power and force interfere with that of mortals found destitute on the island, nullifying arcane arts and some innate magical abilities. Thanks to these circumstances, Lanean’s Rest was deemed a perfect repository of the most dangerous and powerful of all criminals.
All of Avylenn's unrepentant and unrehabilitated are the only beings judged worthy of this punishment are sent to the Rest. The only means of transportation being a special teleportation circle guarded very closely and maintained frequently. The prisoners were doomed to waste away on the island, it being the final resting place of the most vile, to be forgotten forever. Such was their fate until a new warden, one with immense power of word and conviction of will, was appointed to act as caretaker of the damned. Under the watchful stewardship of Ersezten, for the first time in history, inmates have returned from Lanean's Rest. Though few, this was a serious concern due to the nature of those sent to the island, yet when observed, the rehabilitated led fruitful lives and had sincere changes of heart.
After inevitably being questioned about what happened and how they came back, the formerly damned gave a simple explanation: Ersetzen is so terrifying that they had no choice, in the end, but to change, or face a fate worse than a slow and painful death. Regardless of his tactics or other magical abilities, Ersetzen appears to have a power wholly detached from the arcane arts so intense as to cause the vilest to tremble and change.
After the Continental War, the Decanter, an island college-state off the southern shores of Lyberencia, was inducted into the Holy Mountain Empire, barring anyone not a citizen or of special invite from studying or even visiting. Even those of the Empire required passes based on strict and intense testing, gaining permission from the highest members of academia to enter as students.
The previously open halls of study now being closed to the Kingdom of Rosa, needed a sanctum of knowledge, establishing the city of Illumina and, at its core, the College of Illumynacion.
Aside from the seclusion and restrictive nature of the Decanter, the College of Illumynacion differs mainly in the style of learning done. While the Decanter emphasizes the free and independent study of any and all topics, the College of Illumynacion has adopted a more classical approach with instructors and professors. Despite the great speed at which it gained a reputation of prestige and respect, its resources, achievements, and expertise in various fields pale drastically in comparison to the Decanter.
In the aftermath of the Continental War, time seemed to slow for the entire world. After research, it was discovered that one source of Emperor Constantine's immense power came from his divine bloodline: He was the son of the God of Time. It was found that people now age drastically slower, increasing the average lifespan of mortals by roughly a quarter.
This change allowed the average human to break through the previously unheard-of century lifespan, especially to the benefit of guardians whose life seems to extend the more due to their attunement to magic. Their prime ages are longer and the allotted study and practice time is nearly doubled. Since the lengthening, scientists and arcane scholars have grown worried about an age where time loses its grasp on mortality, essentially giving those who are evasive enough the ability to amass an overwhelming amount of power, the likes of which nobody could account for or fight against.
After a few years of peace, rumors began to spread of gifted ones wreaking havoc, but keeping to the shadows. As a result, a being hidden within the castle grounds of Santo Coronado sent out letters of invitation to those who accepted the call to adventure, beckoning them to meet him inside the castle's treasury. Despite many being invited, extraordinarily few accepted the invitation and fewer survived the journey to the treasury.
One group to successfully infiltrated the kingdom's vaults was comprised of four individuals:
They were charged with taking back and locking away the gifts being used for evil, entrusting the gifts into the care of this stranger. Along their journey, some outed themselves as traitors and were either killed or run off, others tragically fell in combat, but the core of the group found others called to adventure without a group to travel with, inducting them into the questing party.
After many months, having made great progress in their quest, the stranger revealed himself to be History, a member of a family of seers and powerful arcanists, each being named after the other, charged with chronicling the events of Lyberencia. Having been allowed only to detail the lives of others and growing impatient and dissatisfied with his place in the world, History decided to make a name for himself and become the subject of Lyberencian legends by consuming the collected gifts and becoming much more powerful than any previous mortal.
The group to slay History included five beings of great strength and integrity:
The party, having found their common goal, united under the name Red Roses, recognized the evil this posed and stood their ground against the threat, eventually slaying History himself. However, as the final plunge ended History, the ground began to shake and rend beneath their feet. History being dead, their goal accomplished, they emerged onto a much more devastating scene than they were they expected. The city they had seen, tall and busy, an hour prior was razed to the ground. Large chasms ripped through the city and across the landscape, but the most troubling was the armies of entranced creatures of various sizes, races, and planes of existence emerging from the chasms, all prepared for war. Worse even still were the survivors of the collapse slipping into comas of servitude, becoming enslaved by some unknown and vastly powerful being, the wars and trances lasting for 6 months.
Amongst all those called to adventure invited by the stranger in the vaults, none proved more chaotic than The Talon. Their initial party was comprised of four individuals:
Very early in their quest, Melqinor and Gerald manifested their true characters when they suddenly murdered the Mistress of Shadows in Santo Coronado, being quickly apprehended by the local Proctors, leaving Nogard and Amperium as the sole remnants of the original group. Soon, replacements were found and a group of four made their way to the city of Heroes Hold where they found another companion to aid, proving key to becoming the first group to successfully slay a gifted one in 20 years.
They journeyed across Lyberencia, gathering tools, weapons, skills, and even an airship, titled Da Dwagon, suffering a tragic loss and meeting a timely friend. Then the Dreamquake erupted across the continent, tearing through any defenses of each kingdom. Little is known about the gifted one responsible for the ensuing chaos, but the Talon found their way into the dream realm where the gifted one was powerful enough to control the innocents of the world.
The members of the Talon who entered the Dream Realm totaled five:
Successful though they were, their triumph came at a great loss, leaving two of the group dead: Saris Fardel and Amperium. Those that remained returned to find that the hours they were in the dream realm was in reality 6 months, a time that had not been kind to the world. Only able to recover the remains of Saris, the group held a vigil for the fallen heroes and those who suffered greatly during the prior chaos. The scars of the being they slew solidified their resolve that the tragic sacrifice was necessary for the betterment of the world.
Weeks before the events of the Dreamquake, Lord Blackthorne was appointed mayor of Kasai, the last stop before the Tomb Desert in Southern Lyberencia. A sea of arcane energy seeped into the settlement, saturating everything and everyone there and causing issues with the natural flow of lifeforce. Something strange was happening and it seemed a powerful treasure was lying in wait for someone to claim it, prompting a group of adventurers to band together and race the new lord mayor to the treasure.
Having claimed the prized item, they emerged to find the effects of the Dreamquake in full force.
